Cadalack Ron

Cadalack Ron recently released the infamous China White Edition album on his Bandcamp. A Hancock Park native Caddy talks about his descent from riches to rags and the self inflicted outcomes of heroin abuse. Recorded in 2005 following his release from various institutions this album chronicles the early 2000's era of Ron's DTLA misadventures...

Tupac Testimony

An interesting look at the late Tupac Shakur being questioned by police in 1995. Respect how he handles himself. His disposition is true and his aim on point.

The Art Of Taboo

Beautiful interpretation of human form, earth, and sexuality through the photography of Chinese provocateur Ren Hang. Found out about Ren through a great piece Vice Japan did on him. After checking his website for further reference I was thoroughly pleased with the playful maturity his work evoked. There's something very fresh about it. Great stuff!

Willis Earl Beal

It don't mean shit if it ain't got passion. Chicago native Willis Earl Beal definitely isn't lacking any of that. His music his heavy felt with feeling and emotion. Soulful nostalgia updated to fit the modern times. Heard Willis on a local LA radio station recently and immediately related. Aside from the music thing, Willis is also a great artist and storyteller. Have a listen to his work below and keep an ear to the scene for more from this talented young man.

Arto Saari Photography

Many are familiar with Arto Saari for his exploits in front of the camera as a professional skateboarder. However, as of late Arto has been honing his skills behind the camera with some really tasteful photographic perspectives. As an insider, Arto's acceptance within various skateboard circles imbues his imagery with a sense of familiarity that translates into authenticity and feeling. Both from his subject's standpoint as well his own. Look forward to seeing more great work from Arto as he continues his photographic pursuits.
