RECAP // KRIS CHAU SOLO EXHIBITION

Good times last week for Kris Chau's solo exhibition opening // GODS OF SUMMER // at Innocnts Gallery. Much appreciation to those that were able to make it out! Kris created a wonderful vibe by combining her triangle paintings with triangle mirrors in offset pattern to create a really cool spacial effect, furthering some of the celestial elements present in the work. Show runs till August 5th with the gallery open most days from 2pm to 6pm or by appointment. We also have a pdf catalog available for those interested. Message us here for that. Much appreciation to our dudes at House Beer for their support. And big shout out to the Twilight Trio for a great improvisational jazz performance!

Kate Klingbeil Art

Some great work from Kate Klingbeil. She lays the paint down heavy and has a vision all her own that carries through the different mediums she engages in. Pretty stoked to start carrying some of her air-brushed art sweaters at the gallery and definitely working towards a solo exhibition at Innocnts in the future.

Check more of Kate's scene here.

HEAD DIPS AND HAIR FLIPS

The jazziest new edit from our dudes Kevin Jansen and Darshan Gooch.

Most mornings filming with Darshan begin with watching the waves materialize in front of you as the sun rises. He's excited to surf and I'm sipping bad coffee out of my room mates coffee cup she doesn't know I've claimed as my own. Winter mornings in Santa Cruz forced me to buy gloves; the kind I used to make fun of other kids for wearing.I'm a huge wimp when it comes to cold. Darsh is excited to surf. He always is. It's contagious. At least I don't have to go in the water. His whole family seems excited to surf. He smiles often. Especially after I ran out of the water after coming way too close to a gargling, snorting blob of elephant seal. "That was hilarious! Did you get a clip of the elephant seal atleast?" Yes it was hilarious, Darsh. No I didn't.
