Things we're listening to.
Ever met Lyon Herron? We bet you'd be stoked if you did! An all around great example of human being, surfer, friend, and cancer survivor. All those key personality traits lead to one heck of a life perspective so it's no surprise Lyon would gravitate towards documenting the beauties of life through the lens of photography. Lyon is 100 percent dedicated and now a days with all the over-night "photographers" inebriated with Insta-fame, that's something to take pride in. Lyon lives it. From motorcycle mayhem in the desert salt flats to swimming among cracking blue barrels at Pipe, Lyon is engaged and tuned in.
Stoked to have Lyon as an Innocnts Advocate.
Our good friends Divola are playing tonight and premiering a new music video at Hop Louie in Chinatown. Should be a rad night.
New Radiohead album just came out after a brief 5 year hiatus. A bit soft, somber, and depressing at times but beautifully nuanced none the less. Here's the first two singles off the album thus far. Great video direction as well!
We recently got back from a month in Australia exploring the various points of interest and the meat pie phenomena. Happy to report back that Australia is indeed an amazing place filled with great vibes, cold beer, and warm sun. After renting a white van from the Venezuelan mafia (kidding just nick-name) we ventured all over the place in search of surf. We often found it but never managed to take pictures of it since we were too quick to get out in it. So here's a handful of iPhone images that should tell some sort of abstract story. The entire trip will be better documented through a forthcoming issue of Foam Symmetry set to drop sometime this summer. Stay tuned for more Innocnts in Australia stuff.
The Way Out a new video written and directed by skateboarder Jim Greco recently dropped on Thrasher. Just a great LA vignette on a skateboarder who's had some ups and some downs but continues to push on. Jim invites Jeremy Klein and Ron Chatman to join him during a few sessions and what comes of it all is just a sweet little video that's meant to mean something and make you want to skate.
